Heres something some of you guys could relate to; a riding buddy of mine just got an 01 rapter, black, with all kinds of accy's. nice lookin quad, fast too. So we race a little bit...climb some hills, do some jumpin, then we trade quads and do it again. Impressive power I tell em, then I suggest we head off to the wooded trails & mud :-)......hey where did ya go. What i'm gettin at is all Ive heard was how "bad" that quad was, sure its fast but dont ya just want to go rippen through some deep mud & water every once in a while, (every time I ride, for me). yeh I hate cleaning it too but it sure is fun while your doin it. So like I said, some of u might have been thinking like I was...man I would sure like to get one of them quads, but hey....at what cost, getting muddys fun. Getting muddy and stuck........well Take care, bob

Depends on how you ride and in what type of terrain. My Scrambler will make it through more deep mud than my Raptor but in "normal" mud and water my Raptor does just fine. If it does get stuck I can move it by myself... unlike my Scrambler which takes both me and my riding buddies!
The Raptor kills the Scrambler in really "whoopy" trails, jumps and bumps. The Scram is much funner in sloopy stuff, rocky trails and for overall comfort on long day rides.
Just my opinion!

I went to Wayne National Forest this weekend. We had a Polaris Scrambler, my Sport, a Trailblazer, a Rubicon, a 300 Foreman, and two Suzuki 500 Quadmasters. The Raptor got stuck every 10 minutes. Wherever there was a rut over 5 inches deep, it got high centered. Wherever the mud was over 8 inches, we had to throw him the tow strap. Then it happened, BOOM, it blew the carb boots off. Two hours later, we had it fixed, and were back on the trails. It ran like crap the rest of the day, and the Raptor rider wanted to turn back, in fear of getting stranded deeper in the woods.
