Trail Blazer owners

I co-own a motorcycle/ATV accessory store, and plan on buying 4-6 Polaris Trail Blazers (2000 model). I drove a Trail Blazer once, and thought it was a nice machine (good for beginners) What I'm asking is: has anyone had any troubles with their Trail Blazer? I read lots of negatives with the Sportsman and Scramblers. I've talked to several people who own Trail Blazers and they've been trouble free. Before spending $14,000.00+ for a bunch of Trail Blazers, I thought that I'd ask here for any bad stories about them that I hadn't heard before. Also I've read that the 2000 list price for the Trail Blazer has fallen to $2,999, has anyone else read this? Thanks

My girlfriends has been great. We paid $2995 for it. It is a great beginners quad. It has nice features too that you just don't find on any other quad for $3000 or less.
So far so good.
I've a few bad things about the Sportsman, but I can't say I've heard much bad about the Scramblers. What were you told?

When I was racing dirtbikes, my wife wanted something to ride when we wnet on trips. The TBlazer was the perfect ATV for her, having NO riding experience at all.
To make a long story short, I found myself on it, and treated it literaly like crap. I ran it over, through, under, around everything I came across, on more than one occassion. It suprised the hell out of me!! I liked it so much the dirtbike went up for sale and I ended up with the Sport!!
I may have fouled a plug or two the first couple months out, but other than than it has been trouble-free.

I purchased a 2000 TrailBlazer in June and have had no problems. One of the major reasons I purchased this model is because if there ever is a problem it is just about the simplest and easiest ATV made to work on. If you understand CVT clutches they are very easy to service, and nothing is simpler than an air cooled two stroke to re-build. I'm sure it will be many years before I need to worry about this stuff anyway. Don't forget to purchase rear racks with them so people can carry stuff.

We can't even find a 2000 Trail Blazer, let alone putting rear racks on one. I've been told that December/January are when the new ones come out. I myself drive a Yamaha Grizzly and tying things on to its racks is a nightmare. I think that the way to go is to wear a backpack instead. The rear rack that I've seen for the Trail Blazer is quite small and appears useless.

Why do you people say that it's a good beginners quad?
The Trailblazer will hang with any other 4-wheeler out there..
On trails a can out ride my friend on his 400EX Awhile he's buys shifting i just gas it and go!
I'm not saying my Trailblazer can beat him in a race. I'm not sure what the top end on the 400 is.

My Trailblazer has performed flawlessly ever since I bought it. They are excellent quads. I'm sure you will have no trouble selling them unless people beleive all the bad things they here about them. But I have only heard good things about them and I have one and they are very good products. I'm sure others will tell you the same.

Azrob, I used to sell and rent snowmobiles...
I would suggest a look at the four stroke Trail Boss 325. As 97TrailBlazer points out, the TrailBlazer is quite a quick and sporty machine. The trailboss may cost an extra 2-3 hundred going in, but you have a 4stroke engine. I own a Trail Boss and it is quick enough, powerful enough for new or fairly new riders. In a pinch, I can have plenty of fun on it.
I am not seeing the knocks against the Scrambler reliability, from the people that I know who have them. I have 2 and nothing has broken...um...that I didn't break!
By the way, it looks like it would be real easy to mount a "speed governer", by simply getting a long screw with two nuts, to replace the one screw that tightens the throttle mechanism to the handlebars. The two nuts would tighten against each other, and against the throttle mechanism, to tighten it to the bars.
The long screw would then block the thumb throttle from moving the last 20% of it's travel. I was going to do this to let the kids drive the scrambler, but picked up a second kid machine instead.
