Nothing to it ,just a socket, ratchet and extension to get the cover off and wrenches to loosen whatever may be in the way(Floorboards,Ect). The pully can be moved with your hand to loosen the belt enough to get it on. Takes about 20 to 30 minutes max ,most of that is getting the cover off and back on.

Yep, you should take it to the dealer to get them to align it. It is very easy to put a new belt on but you need a special tool to get it aligned. I just busted my 4th belt in a year which was a Dayco belt on my 99 scrambler 500, I was looking at the dealer's shop manual and just happened to see about how you are suppose to align the belt, and needless to say I just thought you had to put the new belt on. I learned alot this weekend about working on the Polaris, I had to replace six badly worn spider buttons in the primary and three worn buttons in the secondary plus I had to remove the whole pvt system to take my swingarm off to replace the bushings in the swingarm. Now that's work, I had to use 2 special tools to get the clutch apart. I had to use the clutch puller and to get to the spider buttons I had to use the spider removel tool. That was fun, I should have it back together Thursday when the parts come in. I am glad I wanted to put an agressive clutch kit in it or I would not have noticed all of the worn clutch parts.
If you don't get it aligned then you will keep breaking belts, even the tough ones!
