I myself would go with the Boss. You can ride it and then do a little light work with it. I like to have racks too.

Polarisrules44~

Don't even keep saying a Trailboss will keep up with a Scrambler with just a stage one kit. You're making yourself sound stupid. So you think one of Polaris's slowest machines can keep up with their fastest machine with just 300 bucks in mods!?? I have both machines...I have tried modifying my boss with an AAEN exhaust, K&N filter, and Green spring, and it was still a slug! Still nothing compared to the Scrambler, even when it was completely stock! The 414 kit will set you back roughly $1200(I think) and THEN it is compareable to a completely stock Scrambler until about 40 mph. Then it falls back. Sorry to be so harsh, but stupid people are my biggest pet peeve! They simply drive me nuts! By the way, your clutch kit in the stage one consists of just a "New Spring".

Now, TrailB~
For the conditions you stated, the Boss would be the better choice. 4 strokes give off far less exhaust fumes, something you would like to avoid when hunting. Towing is possible with both machines, but I think it takes less strain for the Boss to do the chore. It simply has more low-end power due to the 4 stroke engine. Sport riding, well, neither machine would be at the head of the pack, but the Blazer would be closer to the front and cheaper to get to the front. You just have to deside for yourself whether you'd rather have a machine better for towing and hunting, or a sportier machine that will be a better performer on the trails. You really can't go wrong with either machine though!

You would think that someone with such a deep rooted hatred for stupid people would spell deside with a "c". Just my opinion.

WIscrambler,
Do you even realize what you said?

"Don't even keep saying a Trailboss will keep up with a Scrambler with just a stage one kit"

He never said that, He did say-

"to tell you the truth a stage one kit and a 414 kit on a boss will make it run with a scrambler".

so it sounds like you both actually agree

"the 414 kit will set you back roughly $1200(I think) and THEN it is compareable to a completely stock Scrambler until about 40 mph"

Looks like you are your own pet peeve.

The only thing not mentioned here. The Boss has way better mud protection. The Blazer has Zero mud protection.

MuddyXplor~
The clutch kit on my Explorer is the "aggressive" clutch kit from HPD. It came with new weights, helix, primary and secondary springs. The only other mod on the Explorer is a K&N filter and outerwear, which I would highly recommend. The kit only cost me $90 since I got it at dealer cost. The most noticeable difference is a higher engagement point. Although I still cannot wheelie in high gear, acceleration feels slightly stronger and backshifts are also quicker. I know the clutch kits engage quite a bit quicker than stock right off the line. My buddy has a bone stock Scrambler identical to mine and I consistantly beat him off the line and all the way through a drag race. I am happy with the kit, but if I were to modify a clutch on another Polaris, it would definitely be a roller clutch.

Everyone else~
Sorry to come off so harsh. I just don't consider the Stage one kit or 414 kit as one mod. The stage one kit comes with 3 or 4 different mods. The 414 kit includes boring, piston, and I believe some work is done to the valves and cam. If that is considered just 2 mods then I could make my Scrambler run with a 370 Banshee with just 2 mods. Give me an HPD race engine and HPD race chassis. Since I own both machines, I have had considerable saddle time on both. Going from a 400 2 stroke to a 325 4 stroke makes it hard for me to think the T-boss could be ridden sporty and makes it feel like a real slug.

Going from a 325 cc engine to a 414cc engine is a considerable jump in displacement, IMO. Somewhere's in the neighborhood of 27.5% more displacement. Add to that cam changes, jetting and exhaust and you have a motor substantially bigger than the original. I believe RCR also recommends a clutch workover with the engine mods. Wether or not it can hang with a 500 Scrambler I don't have any personal knowledge, but I would wager a small sum it'll keep up significantly better than in stock form. Also the TB325 has a listed dry weight of approx. 500 lbs. vs. the Scramblers approx. 570 lbs.. 70 lbs makes a BIG difference on these machines.
As for trailB's questions, I would think the 325 would be the better all around quad for the activities you listed. It won't be the best at any one of them, but for the $3500 or so purchase price you how can you go wrong? And that's the crux of the matter, the price... Last I checked Raptors and Sportsmans cost a little bit more.....
