How much more horse power do you get if you install a k&n filtercharger on a trailblazer?

Contact RCR. They have the best deals on performance packages. The filter alone will not be much.

Installing the K&N filtercharger without going to the 38TMX would be rather pointless, if your not already piped. But, beware if you like to ride in wet/moist conditions the filtercharger is more prone to sucking in dirt and other unwanted elements.

With the stock carb your best bet is a air box mod and a new foam filter. It's a lot cheaper, and works very well. You may not even have to re-jet. Maybe 2HP increase.

Trailblazer00,

I have the filtercharger on my 99 TB.
I can't say for sure how much HP its added.
If I had to guess I'd say maybe 1 or 2 horses. I've got this device called a
G-TECH/PRO. It's an Accelerometer that measures G forces and Horsepower at the rear wheel. This Summer I'm going to find out how many horses my 99TB really has.

Where did you get this Gtechpro? The same type of one Summit sells?

TH: When you say you have the filtercharger on your's are you reffering to the OEM drop in replacement, or the cone (RU-1760) that requires you to remove the entire airbox?

On the stock carb?

A400L,
I've got the RU-1760 filtercharger attached to a 38mm tmx Mikuni carb. The filter is covered by an Otterwears cover for added protection against water and dust. The air box has been totally removed.

ANDREW,
The G-TECH/PRO is from Telsa electronics. Their Web site is www.gtechpro.com. The unit cost $139.95 and connects to a cigarett outlet. It got pretty good reviews in a few auto mags a few summers back. I've used it on my Vette and its pretty accurate. Just need to get the cigarett outlet adapter so I can hook it up to the quad. Just plug it in and put in the weight of the quad and hope it works with that light of weight.

JIM 99TB !!!!!!!!RIDE SAFE AND HAVE FUN!!!
