Jumping?
#1
I dont post very often, but i was wondering if jumping my sport would hurt it. I have heard of cracked tranny cases and broken chains before. I keep a little slack in my chain. I am also not talking about huge jumps, just ones that get you in the air. Thanks for the help.

i dont know about the tranny case,
i suppose if you landed hard enough, and bottomed out, the shock might be able to crack the case,
as for the chain, you dont have to worry about it unless you hit somthing with it, and the chain doesnt move with the shocks, if you have a chain skid plate, you have nothing to worry about,
just dont punch the throttle in reverse if your in a rut, thats how you break your swing arm/brake assembly, i know from expierience

Actually, Snapped chains, and in some cases a tranny case, on polaris "sport" machines can be a problem. When in the air with a manual tranny quad, you can only rev to the rev limiter, while on a CVT quad, it keeps up-shifting in the air since there is no resistance against the tires. So, say you are moving 30mph in the air, but the tires are spinning at 65mph? Somethings gotta give, and sometimes it's the chain.
