I broke part of the floor board today on my sp 500. Was wondering if anyone else had had this trouble and how they fixed it or how much to replace?

Also knocked the two plastic end caps out on one side of my tube bumper in the front. Gotta watch those trees on the tight turns.

There’s a small “chunk” missing from one of my floor boards from one of the rocky trails we like. It’s not big enough to concern me but it’s no big trick to replace one, just bolts. I lost the cap plugs from my bumpers too (it didn't involve a tree though). Polaris DOES sell them as separate parts. My new ones are glued in.

Mine was cracked, not broken so I just used some JB Weld. So far it's worked pretty good.

Floodrunner,

What kind of glue did you use? I called about floor boards and end caps for the bumper. $65 per side for the floor boards and I forgot to ask about the caps. Surely they can't be much. I think I'll try and repair the floor boards first. I'm afraid I'll just brake them again if I get new ones.

Perhaps I should check into a lift kit?

I broke my left floorboard on my Magnum 500. I just hit a small tree going slow, it pushed the rear plastic fender in and i heard something snap, broke the floorboard clean in two. I thought they were tough untill that. Right side $65 /// Left side $83

I have mine off right now jb welding it. I'll let you know how it turns out.

I may try and make a miniature set of nurf bars for it to prevent some of this in the future. I don't supose anyone knows of any after market nurf bars?

Iknow what you mean, this first time I hit a stump I thought about welding some sort of nerf bar underneath the floor board. I haven't seen any in catalogs or on the net, but it doesn't look like it would be too hard to weld something ugly. Let us all know if you find anything.
