Wanna know what a Sportsman does better than the new Grizzly?

Slide baby, slide. The Grizz has been fitted with inset wheels to make it narrow for the woods guys. 43.5", outside of tire to outside of tire. It sticks like glue in the corners, you can't wag your tail if you wanted to. NO POWERSLIDING, no doughnuts. IT hooks up like an always 4x4 Honda. The weird thing is, the hubs are way out there, like this thing was designed wide, then some marketing guy came along and said "Make it narrow for the woods guys". I wish these woods guys would just buy a chainsaw and cut down a few trees, I'm getting tired of them fokkkkking up so many good quads. Iaho Laula,,,"Wider is better".
The new Grizz is everything everybody said it would be. But nobody mentioned whether it would powerslide or not. It doesn't.
Wider wheels and fatter tires will fix it. It's like buying a Camaro then putting real tires on it. Or buying a Raptor and putting a real axle on it. We reversed the rear wheels and got it out to 53", it powerslided great, looked silly, and we had to switch it back to get it on the trailer, but the valve stems didn't hit anything, it worked, and it was free.
As a former Sportsman guy, I thought I would let you know about the ***** in the new guy's armor. It's all you've got.

My guess is that the IRS screws up its ability to power slide as much as, or more than the fact that its not wide enough. The new Griz isn't any narrower then mine is, and mine power slides just great, even with less power. I test rode a SP500 once, and the first thing I noticed was that it wanted to roll when I tried doing a spinning 360! When I do the exact same maneuver with my Griz, it does a spinning 360, no sweat!

Fourlix,
Looked it over at the dealer and noticed a few things:
1) Appreciate the adjustable front shocks, but how does it handle differently than the (SP) McPherson struts? Seems like the dealer had them set one notch from the bottom; definitely a different feel when you shift your weight and shake it around a bit.
2) Didn't see any greasable pivot points(besides cv joint) even at the dual pillow block brg. down on the frame that acts as a sway bar(?)
3) What is the intake that points rearward on the back of the machine that sets so low to the ground(clutch hsg.?) Forgot to ask the salesman, but he mentioned other intakes that had reservoixs that filled up instead of pouring into wherever.Do these things drain automatically and more importantly fast enough? Does some of the water sloshing around in there eventually make it the rest of the way?
4) As in other quads, hitch seems to be put on as an afterthought and tucked away.
Have to admit I really like the push-button locking diff.,instrumentation, comfort and location of the radiator. You boys in Rosineau keep burning the midnight oil!
