sc 400 break-in

Anybody have any tips or do's or don'ts for
breaking in a brand new scrambler 400?

Just got my Sport a month ago, the dealer told me to not go above half throtle for the first gas tank. Check the oil to make sure the injector works, then go for broke!

i was told to run the first tank of gas pre-mixed (with two cycle oil). to help with the breakin.

yeah, thats about the extent of it. its right in your owners manual. premix your gas also for the first tank to ensure that the injection system is working. they say to vary the throttle and not to stay at one constant speed because it can cvause overheating. once you get through the first tank full you can let her rip. 2 strokes are very simple to break in. the only thing is never get right on a cold engine and "hammer" it. always let it warm up for a few minutes. you can damage the piston otherwise.

thanks appreciate the info the dealer told me they pre-mixed the gas but a friend told me to break it in the way im going to ride it that doesnt sound right so i think ill keep with the half throttle advice
