DOES ANYONE HAVE A RELIABLE OLDER SCRAMBLER 400? (1995 - 1997)

kukerdan,
Well, they aren't Scramblers, but they are 1997s. I haven't had a bit of trouble with either that wasn't my own doing or someone elses (everyone but Polaris) My two quads have held up really well.
One thing you might want to check when you get it home is the swingarm pivot bolts. The do have a way of working loose. Just tighten them up (better yet have a reputable dealer do it) and bend the locking tabs so that three of them are touching the bolt and the other one is touching the frame, and you should be fine. When I took both of my swingarms off they were loose enough to remove them with your fingers. I though they needed new swingarm bushings, they didn't.
