#3
I own a 2000 Scrambler 500 and all I can say
is it's the BEST
Fast top speed +65MPH handles wooded trails
great. This is were I ride most of the time.
Just got some snow today. So I will test it
out tonight after work in the snow.
Best of luck

I own one. (SC500 4x4)I was very skeptical when I first got it, being a Honda guy in the past. But if you want a Sport 4X4, what else is there? To sum it up quickly, I absolutely love it. I want to ride it as much as possible, fast, handles, comfortable and so far reliable. My Foreman is a work machine now and stays pretty much in the garage.
Stocker is definitely jealous. I would be too if I was tired of seeing Polaris' blow by me.
And I think the 300ex is a great machine, for kids.

Stocker we no you are jealous come on you can tell us about ur jealousy.
I beat your honda could go trough deeper mud climb more hills. go faster
We all no your handa is great
Now back to the question Ilove my scrambler it is the funnest thing i have ever rode it has loads of bottom end power. and the top end is great for its weight. It has the best 4by4 system. Theres a good bit of mods you can do to it. Dont buy the hotseat pipe its junk. And talk about fun wheelies these wheelies on this bick is a blast because you dont have to shift gears when in a wheelie.

Its a great all around quad The best part about it is you can ride with any quad out there-from sport to utility. Its not the best pure sport machine and its not the best pure utility machine-but it still does both very well. Its alot of fun. I love mine and would not give it up for any other machine on the market. CT 00 Scrambler 500

I purchased a 99 Scrambler 500 a little over a year ago. Prior to buying, I looked at virtually all 2x2 and 4x4 machines available. Cost was not a concern. But fun factor was. I thought I really did not want a 4x4 machine because of the bulk and high weight. After having nothing but chain driven machines in the past, I did at first have concern over the belt. But that concern quickly went away.
After riding about every machine there was, I settled on the SC500. It will go anywhere. It is considerably fast. (clocked at 65 againist my DR350). The abality to switch between 2x2 or true 4x4 is awsome. A few months after I purchased the Scrambler, I purchased a 99 Sportsman 500. (for the wife). It was as good an excuse as I could come up with the day I looked at it. I feel much more confident on the Scrambler. I do believe I can take the scrambler up steeper terain.
The biggest factor is what type of riding you do. If you don't ride in mud, snow or extream terain a 4x4 may be over kill and the excess weight is a performance penalty. In sw PA, there is all of these.
