325 Magnum Flooding
#1
I posted two other times concerning my 325 flooding after riding it for an hour plus and shutting it off. When I would start it after being shut off for 10 minutes it would be flooded and I could smell gas.
I had it to the dealer a couple times and they haven't found anything. They talked to Polaris twice about it and Polaris said they didn't have reports of this occurring.
I kept thinking it was heat related....BUT, last night it did it again. I went down a steep hill, turned around on the hill and came back up. The hill was maybe 30 feet long...it was not extremely steep. (I made it up in 2wd, low range). As soon as I got to the top and leveled off I smelled gas...I rode it a half mile home and shut it off. You could smell gas big time....i started it about 5 minutes later and it was all flooded.
Anyone else experiencing this?
Any info would be appreciated.

Well, I have experience similar problems. A while back my mag would constantly leak gas out the overflow, turned out that the float had worn the are around it out. So that was replaced and it fixed the problem. Then when I was riding one day, I was going UPHILL with the gas down about half throttle, when I got to the top, it quit running almost like it was out of gas. It did this anytime I would be riding swiftly down a trail or climbing a hill, which isn't comforting on large hills. I took it to the shop and he said that it needed the throttle cable adjusted because there was too much slack in it and it is similar to having the throttle stuck open so the etc detects it and shuts the motor down. After adjustment, the quad ran fine. He said this happens with a lot of the mags that come in there, all they need is the throttle cable adjusted.
I am not sure if yours if the same or what but just a little info.
