MasterOfDisaster,
Why is it so hard to believe that everyone's "beloved" 250R could get spanked by a Polaris? These machines, while heavy, can still make over 70 horsepower on a stock bore. Try that with a 250R. The seamless shifting of the transmission on the 400s also helps as opposed to the manual shifting on the 250R. Heck, modified 400s have been beating Banshees for years, where have you been?

Mike is right. Just because it says Polaris on it, does not automatically mean it has no potential. Sure, a stock Sport might not be much compitition for a 250R or Banshee, but the 378cc engine is the Polaris is quite easy to modify, and if done right, can be a screamer.
It's like the old Buick GN and GNX's. Sure, they only had 6 cylinder engines, but tell that to the camero or mustang it just smoked, or the guy running his GN down the quarter mile in 10 seconds. Same goes for the Polaris. The only people that say they are always slow or could never beat a 250R are the ones that know nothing about that engine.

The three wheel Honda 250Rs (ATCs) would be even more of a challenge. They are a LOT lighter than the TRX 250 Rs and will accept almost all of the same engine mods (not including the pipe).

I love watchin these videos of competitors getting smashed by Sport 400's!
