00 500 scrambler rearend and brake
#1
just bought new scrambler, 20 hrs. later, we put whole new rearend in. seems factory-dealer (whoever) failed to grease rearend. guess what ? no warranty coverage. dealer said he has had several of these same way. make sure you grease rearend till you see grease come outa seals !!
also, rear brake is the same as worthless. any ideas ? thanx

Braking in general is poor on Polaris ATV's. You can start with new pads. Try EBC, they also make aftermarket rotors, but they are $$$. Go with the HPD split brake kit, which allows for seperate front/rear braking. The foot peda, in my opinion, is useless, so I just removed it entirely. I also just peiced together my own set of Goodrich teflon coated braided steel brakelines. It wasn't cheap, or as easy as I had hoped, but combined with the new EBC pads, HPD split brake kit my braking should be very much improved.
