I am getting spark. I will try the fuel test tonight. My tank shutoff valve IS bad.....it cannot be shutoff. It is a 1993 and this is the FIRST problem I have ever had....that is damned good for a seven year old machine. THe carb has never been cleaned so it is time anyway. ANyone have an idea what a carb needle and seat costs? The only part I have ever bought for the machine is a battery and a spark plug. The dealer vists are just to look at the new models which are more $$$$$$$$ than I have for toys.

Thanks for all the advice. This chat line is full of good people willing to help others!

It started with a shot of starting fluid in the airbox. I am going to remoove the carb tomarrow and clean it very well. It is a fuel problem so I guess the carb is the next place to go.

The carb cleaning worked. It started after the cleaning. There was some grit in the main jet I think. I sprayed the carb down well with cleaner and then blew out with high pressure air. I seems to have worked. Will test ride tomarrow.

Thanks for the advice.
