I just installed the rcr midrange kit on my 99 sc400 last week. I LOVE IT. I was just wondering if anyone knew where ritter's pipe makes its peak hp.

Thanks for the info.

Well, I guess that clears up *that* question!

I would like to take a minute to thank Mr. Ritter. He obviously monitors this forum, but never steps in to belittle someone else's products, and even more amazingly, does not toot his own horn. While forum rules prohibit direct advertising, it would be easy enough for Mr. Ritter to have answered this post with something like "6400 - and if you really wanna boost your power, check out our....." - you get the idea. He has stepped in to try to insure the satisfaction of a friend of a member that had a less that acceptable experience with his products.

Just wanted to let Mr. Ritter know that someone noticed, and this is the kind of guy I will be doing business with(as soon as I save some $$$).

Thanks.

i also plan on getting a stage 1 kit soon. i don't know if i will quite make it until my warranty is up, i'm too anxious. as soon as the weather breaks in the spring, i will be modifying. you can't appreciate the real gains anyhow in the snow. question... do you get good instructions with your kit? i mean i know how to change a pipe, and the main jet. but do you get the correct jet size with the kit, and how about the clutch springs, i'm not very familiar with the clutching, i've only the operation once or twice on a snowmobile. so, you loved it, huh?? can you feel a great difference in power? i definitely want more low end and mid-range.

Bigdevil... If you can assemble a Peanut butter and Jelly you can put this kit on!
Installed one on a Friends trailblazer in an hour and a half. Quality Products! I know that after talking to rick on the phone about my port work for my motor i'll be dealing with him.

BigDevil,

These kits are extremely easy to install. My wrenching abilities are nominal at best, I had no trouble installing the kit in two hours. The clutch spring is very easy to replace, the jet, which you receive two of, is a no brainer. The pipe is a tight fit to get between the frame, best done with two people. The air box mod took me the most time, not that I'm saying it's difficult. After the surgery is complete, you'll swear someone switched your bike for one that is twice as quick and powerful. It's amazing.
