Simple ( but not cheap) solution to keeping the front on the ground.....
Hang a winch and a bumper off the front. The extra weight helps a lot. Or you might just use your head and stay off the gas in low range.

Put a bumper on the back. It'll stick out farther than the rack.

"Complaining" about too much power sounds somewhat like "complaining" about having to pay too much income tax!

(Unfortunately, I'm in neither category.)

I would love to have that "Too much power" problem with my Sportsman. I'd REALLY love to have that too much income tax problem....

Hmmmm. Sounds like a problem of too much traction. How much weight did you have over that rear axle?

Mac; When the Sportsman first came out a nephew of the owner of our local dealership brought one out to the farm for us to see. Well, I took off on it and went down a long lane with it and started playing around on it. The lane had really good traction on it and when I turned around to go back to the shed with it . I stuck it in low to see what it would do, I gassed it wide open and it promtly stood up and I fell off the back in the road, fortunatly the Quad landed back on its wheels and not on top of me. So I have "Been there ,Done that" one more time.

I used to ride with a friend who had a Explorer 400. It was very easy to lift the front end and crack the back rack.

Yo Boner, I wich I could post a complaint about too much power, but I am at the other end of the spectrum, you'll usually find me looking for power for my 2000 500 Sportsman. I've got a couple mods from AAEN coming, and after there on I will post MY review. Every time I go back and read some of my posts I say, "geez what a whiner"
