I had a Honda CBR motorcycle for sale once (privately). One young test pilot showed up with his buddies. I have never seen a bike scream through a residential neighborhood as fast as this thing moved. The sound was deafening. Scared the hell out of me. He handed it back, said thanks for the test ride, and left. My mouth was still hanging open at this point. No test pilots after that.

Interesting discussion. You never know the background or abilities of the test pilots that show up at your door.

I'm reminded of the scene in the Harrison Ford movie wherein he plays an assistant director of the CIA, can't remember the name of the movie. He's trying to buy a used helicopter from a guy in the jungle.. asks the price - 2 million dollars is the reply. Ford asks for a test flight with his pilot and the seller says sure, just need a deposit. How much is the deposit, Ford asks.
2 million dollars.

Don't give anyone any ideas!I personally just went through a stupid drawn out lawsuit on a traffic accident.It took three and half years to settle.Again thank God for insurance.Gee,never thought I would here myself say thise words!

 

Ya know all this talk of lawsuits is depressing......Ain't it nice to get out in the woods and get away from MOST of the lawsuit happy lawyers and ticket happy cops.....Personal responsibility is what quad riding is ALL about....be thankfull most of us are. Just my 2 cent's worth!

Codeman,I feel for you,I personally know how it feels,because exactly November 15-1997,my wife totally wrecked our van in a serious highway accident.[slipped on black ice]We got sued,but insurance only wound up paying 10k to the other lady involved in the accident.I remember going to the Hospital the morning of the accident,the other lady had an air bad and was un-injured,they took her in for observation,and let her go the same morning.My wife was not so lucky,she nearly died.She spent 2wks in the hospital and 4 operations later,shes ok.But aint it just so ironic how the hospital let the other lady go home the same morning of the accident and 5 months later we get served with neck and back injuries to her?FRIVIOUS SUITS SUCK.===BILL
