4Whl Atv Action just tested one, and could only get 35 out of it. Some people say that the magazine reports are not accurate, and I would tend to agree. The only problem is they tend to play up a (any) quads good points, and not spend to much time discussing the short comings. I tend to think it has to do with advertising revenue. My point, if what the magazine says is positive, its probably an exaggeration. If it is negative, it is most likely understated. By the way the gps should be very accurate, much more so than a speedo.

Unfortunately, you're not far off. I can only get in the low 40's with mine. I can keep up with my buddies Honda 300 4x4, but I can't pass him. I've got a K&N filter on mine and it seems to help a little, but not much.

My buddy has a 2000 325 Magnum two wheel drive and my Xplorer 250 is faster, he says he can get about 45 out of it max. I imagine with the 4 wheel drive being heavier would make it slower.

I have a 2000 325 2X4 and can get in the low 40s. Fast enough for what I do and fast enough to kill ya.
