How is Polaris going to keep up?
#11
Ill tell you how polaris is gunna keep up.
With their new quad i forget what cc it is but it is either a 650 660 or a 680. It is supposed to have a really light frame and some kick a$$ plastics. The thing is supposed to walk all over banshee's and raptors. I heard it is supposed to be out either this spring or like next fall.
I heard this from a very reliable source. I live 15 min from the polaris factory in roseau and i have lots of family that work there and they have a new quad coming out. This is no bs it is true.
i know some more but i do not know everything about it if you have any more questions i might be able to answer just ask.

Heres my list of demands for the new polaris sport quad, and 250sxMan if you would please take these directly to the factory, j/k
1. Light weight, around 400 would be nice.
2. MANUAL TRANNY we the auto can stay in the scramblers for hills climbs
but an all sport quad, I wanna be able to control the power.
3. New plastic, It looks good now, but this will be a new generation of
Polaris quads, start fresh.
4. Dual A-arm, w/ shocks, not struts up front w/ at least 9" of travel.
5. Foot Pegs instead of the heavy floorboards.
6. Lowerd seat height and wider stance. Let that baby slide all day.
7. Keep the price low.
8. Keep it out of the scrambler famly. New and inventive name.
like, "inventive name here" 680XTC
Thats what it would take to keep me a faithfull Polaris fan.

I think (just guessing here) that polaris will drop the 500. I bet they just threw off some cheap new grapics, and made enugh to fill the orders they have now. When they come out with the new one, it will be the same price as the current sp500. It will enrage owners, but hey, it works for polaris. (plus, 2002 sp500's will be a huge collectors item)

i sure hope the new sport quad rumor is right cause i am about to switch brands for the simple fact of the weight issue on there sport quads i have been a diehard polaris rider for 5 years now i have bought 3 new quads from them but they are gonna have to change things some on the sports series to keep me buying they may not care if i do but if alot more people feel the way i do then they will be hurting down the road.
just my thoughts!

To continue on from my Bad Boys post.....the walk and talk with the sparrow...they're migrating earlier every year. Both 400cc machines will return. There will be "X" badges worn by 400lb 499cc machines. these have "A" arm front suspensions. Camshaft probs have surfaced. Be patient and loyal....They know if they build it you will come ( not to be confused with a different spelling of that word.) Giving up 160cc, it still ran with the Raptor...Anyone for modifications??? Hang in there, and pay down the bills.
