I've heard a lot of stuff on the 700 but one of the things that got my attention was that it could have EFI. Can anyone confirm this? That would be awesome on that 700 and i heard that it will have 14 inches of ground clearance. Once again can anyone confirm this and any other specs on it would be great.

I am interested in 700 also, but I can't help thinking about the way rumors can get out of control. But, some the guys on here say they have heard, seen and even ridden one! I'm ready to invest in a new polaris (that yellow ho sportsman has been calling my name} but I guess i'll give it a few months and see what might pop up. speaking of rumors, around here, a guy can break his arm on one side of town and by the time news gets to the other side he's on life support, in a coma ,all his teeth knocked out, multiple contusions, 500 stitches and a gunshot wound to the face.. everyone adds a little bit to the story.

I had to look it over to see if it was real, but that front grille is obviously different than the 500 models where. I could be wrong, but I think this picture might be legit. I can't say it looks awesome, because it looks pretty much like a different colored 500 from this angle, but I will say that its probably going to be some kind of bad performancewise.

Ahh, there we go. You guys finally see what I am talking about. Like I said, grey and black, chrome wheels, big tires, sweet looks. Rides just like a sportsman. The brakes are not in one compartment for the back, there is a disk brake on each tire. I rode one about a year ago, it still had a few bugs in it but it was sweet. It looked no where near that in looks. As you can see, inline shift, you don't lose any leg room to the engine, now don't you think that this could take out the grizz, kawi, yammaha, etc..?? Well, it can, truth!

Guys,
Here are some specs. They're good but probably not going to live up to the extreme hype I've seen here.

Features of the 700 Sportsman include:
·Engine: twin cylinder engine with 4 valves (2 per head), which are actuated by hydraulic lifters, push rods, and rocker arms.
·The 700 twin is a counter balanced, pressurized oil, wet sump 4- stroke engine.
·Independent rear suspension and McPherson strut (similar to Sportsman 500)
·Automatic transmission with EBS
·Front gearcase is the Centralized Hilliard
·The coolant system features a self bleeding design to help reduce the risk of overheating, due to trapped air in the system.
·The radiator screen can be easily removed for easy access to clean the radiator.
·The instrument cluster is new and performs a variety of functions.
·The transmission features a “Park” option.
·The ignition system is a simple one turn key start (automotive style)
·Contains a powerful 330 watt stator
·1,500 lb. (680 kg) towing capacity
·Dry weight of 740 lbs. (335 kgs.)
·Rear suspension -11.25” (285.75 mm) ground clearance

And, yes, it is for real!
