District sales rep was at the dealer today with the 700 portfolio. It's black on top and grey on the bottom. It's 25% more powerful than the 500HO. It is aroun 740lbs, but the inline 700 has NO PROBLEM moving. Hidden high mount winch cavity. Front and back racks have a sweet aluminum rail across the top. The rock test in Arizona.....nose the quad up to a rock.....wide open throttle, til she blows.....The others blew, the 700 plataued (spelling) on temp and kept it's cool. It even drove away and they kept riding it. On the "Locomotive test" as he called it, something about hooking up to a restricted phonepole.....this thing pegged the meters!!!! It will be out in September. He wouldn't scoop on the new sport quad, but with a wink I was told winds of change are blowing from the Great North of Minnesota!!!!!!

I hope you are right. I would like to get one of these beasts. Do you know if fuel injection is included?

Here's the real thing!

I hope Polaris does well with this twin design. hopefully it will inspire honda to get off their underpowered butts. But in the meantime my Rubi will haul my hay bales just fine. Thats all I need it for. (and a little fun)

That's a nice quad. But the thing I'm really waiting for is the sport quad.

According to my spec sheet it's carbed....I left it at work, but I think it's a 44mm Mikuni. The dealers should have them on the floor on Friday August 24th. Price around $6999. I too can't wait for the new sport machine. I'm getting a new sled this fall, but I'll pay that off in a BIG hurry if a new sport machine surfaces....I should say when the new machine surfaces.

KT Patience can be sooooooo painful!!

The link that was added only shows a 500cc machine... thought we were talking about a 700cc here?
I'm confused (but what's new about that.)

I dont get real excited about ''ADVERTISED'' power increases that the manufactures tell us.

Remember they also told us that the new HO Sportsman was suppose to have 20% more power than the non HO models?Ask allmost anyone who owns a HO model and had a non HO model, they'll tell you MAYBE a 2-3% increase.Thats a FAR cry from the advertised 20%.

Bill,

Give it a rest already. The 700 twin is going to smoke your clapped out, broken down, miss tuned, I have a speed part from every company Explorer.

Just last weekend my heavy 500 HO Smoked a 400. The 700 is even faster than mine. Your going to need a nitrous bottle to keep up. Make sure your wearing a dust mask when you race one okay.
