I have a '00 Xplorer 400, and I broke a CV joint a few weeks ago. I finally brought it in last week. My warranty had expired in May, but Polaris still warrantied it. I couldn't believe it!! Boy am I happy not to be footin' a almost $400 bill. Thought I would let everyone know that Polaris pulled through warranty wise for me.

What is this? Something positive about polaris and their warranty? I can't believe it! I'm glad you posted this Roofer, because normally all we hear are the polaris bashing stories. You know, I'll bet there are more things like this happening that we don't hear about.

A friend of mine just had the transmition case on his 99 SP500 replaced by Polaris while "out of warranty". The thing is the dealer cracked the case while replacing the ring & pinion that he chewed up abusing it.

Yes, the dealer in Zimmerman. I normally went to Mille Lacs Motorsports, cuz Koenig worked there. Now he is going to Osseo, so I decided to go closer to home. Zimmerman is only 10 minutes away from me.

I have spent about $35,000 on atvs in the last 3 years. I have never gotten the service from any dealer that I get from my Polaris dealer. They go out of their way to make sure I am satisfied. I have had problems that even I knew were my fault, but they say that the part failure should not have occurred regardless, and not only that... they knew I had a big ride that weekend, and they stopped and put two techs on my bike and fixed it while I waited.BTW, I bought my Sportsmans from East Texas Polaris in New Diana, Texas.

I really like the new Grizzly, and I would consider it if the local Yamaha/Suzuki/Polaris dealership in Tyler had a good customer service department. However, when I talked to them about my last purchase which was the HO, they were $300 higher than the competiton which is not a problem if it is justified by the level of service they provide. The sales rep says buy where you want, but we have a great service department. I asked him how long it would take to get a bike in and out under normal circumstances for "for example" a CV failure. He said their service department was backed up 3-4 weeks... so I did not buy from them.

I bought my Sportsman from ET Polaris. They are not always "same day service" but I do not always need "same day service" but it is nice to know when I do need them to stand behind me as the customer or get an easy repair done that day, if it is possible, they will do what they can to help out.

For this reason, I will eventually buy the SP700 from them. It may or may not be better than the Grizzly, but I know they will stand behind it.

Anyway, I just though I would pass this along about my dealer. Most of the bashing Polaris gets is not justified. They deserve a little praise every once in a while. If you live in East Texas and you are needing service or a new quad, call and talk to Brian (903)663-6245. He may not be the cheapest in East Texas but he will be competitive, and he will actually know who you are when you have a problem.

id have to say the biggest problem with getting warranty work or good service its your dealer you have trouble with..i have had a few issues between 2 polaris` that i have owned..the dealer that i got the first quad from sucked, couldnt care less after they sell it to you, also considering i have brought 3 other people to them and they bought 2 quads and 1 sled..then after getting help from polaris with getting a 2nd quad and trading in my first quad with another dealer a little further away, that i cant say anything but good about..they were great with the sale and even when i brought it back with a broken c/v i asked if i could get it back by the w/e and they said no problem, dropped it off tuesday and they called thursday and it was all set ..they fixed it under warranty knowing it had 27 mudders on it they even replaced the tie rods while they were in there, one less trip back for me..they just asked me not to bring it in with large tires and the lift on it.. again like any manufacturer,if you dont have a good dealer for service youll have problems.. theres a few of us that i guess are lucky to find those good dealers that are close enough to us..i drive an etra 35-40 mins for the good service and its well worth it..
