I have yet to see a sportsman float on snow and not get stuck due to being high centered. In my case I could always go a little farther (25" 589's) than my friends sp500 with the stock tires. In the case of one steep hill it took several attempts on his part to follow the fresh trail I made seconds before. This was in about 22" of snow. After about another 10"+ fell the next week there were not to many new trails made by the atv's without the aid of a winch. Just my .02
