Muffler on 2000 xpedtion

I have a Xpedtion 425 4x4 2000 model would it be ok to take the muffler off and just run straight pipe would that hurt any thing on my atv on a long period of time. has any one ever done it??

has any one ever took the muffler off of there quad???? what happend will it mess any thing up?????

Don't do it you will loose power you need some back pressure for an engine to run right my suggesstion would be to buy a header.
