I dont like the sounds of a concentric drive system and shaft together on a quad, why did they do that??, its dumb...especially the system with chains everywhere on the older Polaris 4wds....what were they thinking???

Xplorers sound like a snowmobile... if that helps any.

muddyxplor4x4,

I really don't have enough time on my sidewinder setup to make a good conclusion. I am happy with it so far.........I have the titanium alloy rear sprocket, tool steel front sprocket, and best chain they sell. The chain looks stainless, but I'm not sure which one it is. I am happy with it so far.

My Xplorer sounds like a 2-stroke, because it is a 2-stroke!(no offense) But it doesn't sound like a motocross race bike, ex_master got it pretty good when he said they sound like snowmobiles. As far as gas mileage, mine does OK. I guess for the way I ride it, it does pretty good, cuz I'm on the throttle all the time! I haven't had the bike for very long, and its my first Polaris so I can't really say much about them yet. Lata.
