Scrambler rims/tires
#1
Im thinking about changing the stock tires on my '01 Scram 2x4. Im doing alot of trail riding and some on the track..not much mud at all .....if anything......kinda sandy. What I'd like to know is..has anyone tried 20x10x11's Holeshots (rear) with 21x7x10's (front) or even 20x10x9's for the rear...im looking to me more competitve on the track.....ordering a Hot Seat fast kit in a few weeks....looking for low end speed...any remarks?.....thanks

I have 22" holeshots on the rear and wouldnt go any shorter. They suck in the sand and mud good for hardpack. If you plan to mod your bike give a serious look to HPD or RCR over Hotseat. I dont know what you mean by lowend speed, remember that your clutching and engagement is what counts on our bikes. A good clutch kit will wake your bike up.

Agree with Ron, stay with the 22's, call HPD. I've found, besides my Holeshots, that a Carlyle Striker (even available through some Walmarts, and Fleet Farm stores) is a really great all around tire. And it just so happens that Carlyle is a division of ITP. The traction "bars" even bite nice in the snow/mud. I've found that if you want suspension mods, Hot Seat has some great stuff....axles, stretched swingarms, chromoly steering posts, nerfs. HPD is your engine source for hp. Hot Seats engine mods work good, but HPD's will stretch your elbow tendons, and roost your buds.
