which is the fastest

Well, stock the Scrambler 400 or 500 is the fastest. I haven't ever seen the two race, and I have heard stories of both of them being faster, so I guess it's too close to call.
On a side note, the 400 2-stroke has more bang for the buck potential and can easily walk away from a 500 with the same mods.

From what we have heard of the 700 it will at least run with the Prairie 650 and a prairie 650 will smoke a stock scrambler 400 or 500, I know I was the one on a modified 01 scrambler 500 watching the tail lights of a 650 pull away quick(not even close).

I didn't realize the big boys were that fast! This is my first Polaris and it is way faster than my Warrior was and a far better machine. Just out of curiosity, why would you want to run something that big that fast? I would much rather have more torque than speed.

It's a sickness. I bought the HO to do work, technical riding, trail riding, etc. However I find myself trying to make it as fast as possible and constantly racing sport quads just to see how I do. Like I said it is a sickness.

I am a little new to the Pollaris sport quads. I just bought a SC400 4X4 with FMF pipe and silencer, V-force reeds and K&N. I have not been on the 650 but I have the 660, and I do not think the 660 will be close to my 400 in a drag. I could be wrong but this Scrambler 400 feels very fast. It takes effort to keep the front end down when I hit full throttle off the line. I do not know how much difference the mods that I have make when compared to stock, but I would be surprised to see a 650 hang with it.
Also, I have ridden several SC500s and none of them compare to the acceleration of the 400.
