I think when they find out everyone that did it, they should put them all in their capital building, and then lock it up. Then they should take some of their guys and put them in a plane on a crash course with their leader. How about they go down the same way that many innocent Americans went down?

The world needs to have an example of what can happen when you condone terrorism - Extreme measures of retaliation ! Countries like Afghanistan,Iraq, Iran, Libya, etc... cannot be allowed to conduct policy that aids terrorism, directly or indirectly. This is the end of the innocence for the US. Now its time for ACTION !!!!!

hopefully with 23000 22200 people left in the pentagon (800 believed dead), they can all see past there anger and carry on

war will not solve the problem

i feel sorry for the people lost, and family

and if there is out cry for aid here in NZ, i will do my best to help

i understand how the american public will feel about the whole thing......but war will only rub salt in the wound, big bombs is only for show......it will be a sad day when they are actually used

i wish the government restores things to normal as soon as possible, and grow stronger, and learn from the events

with the economy forecast to go into depression, with the prospect of low interest, low growth rates, it may be a good time to establish financial interest in business activities.

please i know some will be hot headed about things.........mr bush was......but it is worth standing back and looking at the big picture.....the flow on effects of depression in the worlds bigest market, and our main export market......when the US prospers so does New Zealand

laters

I feel that the individuals responsible for this action should be punished, on an individual basis. The people on here who scream for a bombing don't know what they're saying. All this happening to the U.S. should be an eye-opener on how susceptible we are. That doesn't mean that we should just sit on our hunches and never do anything, however, I think there are very few people who actually realize what a full-scale war of today would be like.

I agreee with some of you and I disagree with others. Pudding, I don't agree with your reasoning for not going to war just because the economy is bad, look back in history. Every time thier is a war, the economy skyrockets. Not saying this is a reason to go to war, just stating why I disagree. I listened to Bush's speech last night and it was awesome, he was put to the test and I believed he stepped up to the plate perfectly. And he's right, we need to punish any and all who are involved, whether they are involved directly or not, if they are involved at all, they should be punished. And in my opinion, that includes those horrible souls dancing in the streets. I don't want us to go to war, but if thats what it takes to stop this madness, then so be it. I stand behind my country, and I'll continue to stand behind the President that I am proud to say I voted for. THIS IS THE GREATEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD, AND WILL CONTINUE TO BE LONG AFTER THE SMOKE HAS CLEARED.

May God be with all who were affected by these acts.

The goals of terrorists are to hurt, change, and undermine their target society. The best way to fight this cowardly act, is to carry on as normally as possible. I hope that we are sure of our targets, before we do anything rash. Once we are sure of the parties responsible I hope our response is appropriate. Nothing fancy or subtle... JUST BRUTTALLY DIRECT FORCE.
