In the manual it says the number is located on the left side of the frame by the oil tank, I looked and didn't see it. On the right side of the frame is a number but it isn't a vin number. Is the vin number scratched into the frame or is it a sticker?

On my 98 Magnum, the VIN number is etched into the frame on the left side between the a arm and the oil tank mounting bolts. Take a rag and spray WD 40 on it and wipe the frame clean. You should then see the VIN number etched into the frame. Mine also has a sticker under the top headlight that has it on. Hope this helps.

 

I told my dad to look there and nothing was found. He also called a dealer and they said to look under the seat on the frame and by the headlights, and still nothing. I need more ideas. Thanks

 

On the 1996 I have here it is on the right frame up high behind the front tire in front of the shifter box, Look in between the tire and front fender
