I put velcro around my override to keep it ingaged and if I turn it off awhile and then run it,it starts backfireing and stuterring. So I take off the velcro and it runs fine.
I'm not 100% sure its even the override thats doing it?
It just seems to be.
Is that possible?

Make sure the throttle freeplay is adjusted correctly. You want just enough play in the throttle cable so the engine will not rev at idle when the handle bars are turned. Adjust the cable up by the throttle block.
