Question about Stock Scrambler 500 Graphics..
#1
I have a 99 Scrambler 500 4x4 and when i filled it up with gas a while back some spilled on the left side tank graphic and is now peeling off.My question is,is there a online store that sells stock graphics for it and how much should i expect to pay for it?I would go to my local shop, but the last time i bought from them they ripped me off bigtime.Any info on this would be appreciated.Thanks.

Hey OffRder15,
The next nearest dealer is 2 hours away.I will probably have to make the drive to there to order them.My dealer here marks parts up 100% so it cost to much to buy from them.Anyway thanks for the reply.Later.

Well in the 2001 Polaris catolog there are some up grade graphics that look pretty sweet for $99.95.Go to your dealer and tell him you know how much they cost and what he is doing is wrong and gives the whole atv scene a bad name(You notice only te polaris dealers do that?I have yet to see a Honda or Yamaha dealer do that)and you wont give them anymore of your business and you will tell all your friends and post it on the internet not to buy from that dealer. He will sell it to you for $99.95 +tax.(i had the same problem with my dealer

I am not at work however I just looked up the price on the '01 decals and for both the "Scrambler" and graphics decal it comes to $28.00. I couldn't believe there is much $$$ difference between the '99 and '01. If I get the chance at work today I will look up the '99 MSRP on the decals.
As for Polaris dealers marking up their prices, Polaris until just recently only gave the dealer a minimal markup from cost to MSRP. Honda and Yamaha on the other hand work on a much higher markup most of the time. So most of these dealers who mark their prices up thought Polaris was ripping them off on profits. Well Polaris fixed this about 2 months ago when they finally introduced a higher markup without raising too many of the prices. However dealers being greedy like they are keep implementing their own prices, which I do not agree with or do.

If you pick up a December issue of ATV Sport, my quad with the HPD graphics is in there (shameful self-promotion), I would recommend you have them professionally installed. Or, the December issue of Dirt Wheels has (on page 83) a really nice looking package from parts unlimited. I think you can get those on-line. Another way to make something custom ( if that's what you want) is find your local vinyl graphics place, and they can CAD some new stuff up for you. Sorry to hear about your dealer.
