PEP or Works shocks????
#1
I know that this has been a topic covered here before but I will be looking to get my shocks done front and back and I am looking for some feedback from guys who have ridden with PEP or Works shocks. Have they been easy to deal with and has the product lived up to your expectation? Works quoted me $239.00 for the front pair and $559.00 for the rear which is ok with me but I have yet to be able to get a hold of anyone at PEP so I haven't heard their prices. Anyone have any feedback on either?

Balzak,
I don't know if PEP even makes struts. I do know that the Works are the best deal going right now. The Works struts and rear shock are progressively dampened. I wouldn't spend the extra money on the adjustable compression dampening for the rear shock unless you need less compression dampening. Once the rear suspension has collapsed to about half it's travel, the compression dampening starts to get hard (and this is with a 3"+ swingarm). I have the preload set to the softest position amd I doubt that I'll ever bottom it unless I get some serious air.
At one time the Fox "Clickers" were the way to go. It's too bad that they stopped making them. But I still doubt that even the Fox clickers would give such a soft ride in the first few inches of travel, and then stiffen up for the big hits.
