95 Polaris 300 4x4 won't idle
#1
I was unable to get my 300 to start so I replaced the spark plug and airfilter etc. Long story made short it still would not start so I pulled the carb and cleaned it real good and inspected it, put it back together and it still would not start. I back tracked and found out the new plug was bad. Replaced the plug and can get it to start now althought it does not start easy, once started it will not idle. I have tried to adjust the air screw with no success. I am pretty mechanical but I am not a great carburetor man. Your help will be very much appreciated.

I pulled the carb back out and took some carb cleaner with the straw and sprayed the cleaner throught the pilot jet. I will have a compression tester tuesday but it is strong enough to blow my thumb off the plug hole. I need to get this thing running before the snow flys, any help is very much appreciated

the compression, for one thing i have a 94 300 2x4 my rings went out a while back, with ur whole finger compression check hehe i didthe ssame thing come find out i had only about 60psi which i needed up to 100-120psi so ur finger tester isn't the best way to go. Just a lil info i'd check the compression on it!
