You should be able to put one ATV up front standing up and the second one behind in sitting normal (provided its a long bed truck). Make sure you strap the one standing up real good. I did this with two TrailBlazer and a dirtbike thrown in there too. I did not have a tailgate on my truck. So with a tailgate, you should be able to fit the larger SP's this way.

Sounds dangerous. Is this for a one-time transport or something you need to do all the time? I have seen rails that are made to put 2 quads sideways ON an 8' bed. The rails sit on the bedrails. I saw these in Cabella's catalog - they were like over $1000. Maybe something you should check out if this is what you must do, otherwise I think a trailer is the way to go.

Before I would spend $1000 for a rack system, I would get a small utility trailer. One of those that has the built in ramp/tailgate setups. If you DO manage to get 2 quads in the back of your truck, there will be precious little room for any gear, cargo, or gas cans. A good one runs about $650, and you can haul one quad in the bed, and tow the other in the trailer. As a bonus, you can put a trailer ball on your quad, and pull the trailer around the yard for cleaning up tree branches & such. They also are good for hauling lawn mowers & garden tools.

I would have to agree, get a trailer. Thats what I am working on getting right now. so much easier and safer to load and unload quads.
