How to install a Velocity Excelerator
#1
I have a HPD Velocity Excelerator for a 39mm PWK carb and want to know how to properly install it? There are two pieces, and look U shaped, do you face the U up and make them parallel to each other then slide them inside the carb until the tabs are flush with the outside of the carb?

I know how you feel I put one on mine and the instructions
are not real clear. Darrell needs to send a picture with the
instructions.
The bottom piece has 60 degree angled legs that you should
face up. I just layed the thing about in the center of the
carb. and pushed down lightly and evenly on the edges. Don't
push it down in the middle because it will bend. Then do the
same thing with the top piece. Its legs have 90 degree bends.
It will sit right on top of the bottom piece two legs. When
you are done they will divide the carb. into a large top
section with a thin middle area and a small bottom section.
They should look like an equal sign = inside the carb. throat.
Your rubber manifold will also help hold them inplace just don't
twist or turn your carb too much when you put it back on.
It gave mine better throttle response that is noticable
at low and mid throttle openings.
I just put mine in a few days ago and because of the weather I
haven't tested it too much.
Let me know how yours does!
