I noticed to day that the 00 SO500 did not want to start, its bat was dead after only a few days of +10 degrees. It did not suprise me, but what did was that the started stuck. I tried the Pull recoil and it pulled and recoild but it was not attached to the fly wheel. It had NO tension. I put the charger on the bat and it would spin the starter but it would not turn the engine. I pushed the monster in the heated grarage with the plow on!!! Not an easy task let me tell ya!!! I let it thaw for a bit left the charger on and came down, It started like a champ. The rip cord had tension on it. I have had this happen to me on cold days, but it usually unsticks after a few hits of the starter button. Any help would be great!

wow, de-ja vous, i have the same problem, WTF, except my starter wouldnt even run, id just hear a click, and i had to tap the recoil case to get it to wind back in, it started with the recoil, and then after i rode the scram around and turned it off and let it sit, it would start, maybe from a quick chare? so cold weather kills battery? ill have to get me a trickle charger
