So far 1200, no problems with mine either. Still on the first set of brakes, steering bushing, and all of the other parts that seem to wear out faster than they should. I had the recall work done on my tranny about 1 1/2 months ago and havent driven it since. Its a little chill here in Minn. for joy riding. As far as 5000 miles on the tranny, who knows, I dont know why not.

I've got about 1600 miles on mine. Scrapped the original tires and added a split brake kit. No problems. Just had the recall done. They told me that they saved the oil and put it back in after the work was done. I sure hope it was a clean container and funnel!! I'd just changed the synthetic oil (Polaris'), so I don't want to just change the oil and filter again. After 2 Honda Foremans, I'm really happy with this Expedition. Seems to be just as reliable as the Hondas, so far. I've not done the tie rod ends nor the steering bushing yet because I haven't had any troubles with them. Still, I wish it had power steering (ok, I'm old!).

I've got 1500 on mine with no problems except the reverse over-ride mechanism (black box) went out after a few hundred miles, and a few self inflicted casualties. Expeditioneer, Funny you should mention the oil, I just changed mine two weeks ago, and had the recall done today. Hate to think I wasted my money on 5.5 qts of oil. Going for a ride with some folks this weekend, in the fresh 12 inches of snow that fell in the last two days. It was 65 here Sunday, and the grass is growing. One of my buddies has a new 700, and I'm looking forward to checking it out.

Hey dusty, Did you really manage to get 5.5qts of oil in your rig? I posed this question last spring to Exp owners and if I remember correctly most of "us" could only get 5qts in. Although the manual says 5.5, there is now way I ever got that much in without it pouring out of the crankcase. I just changed again 2 weeks ago, and five qts put me at full. Anymore would have ended up on the ground.

Soupcan,
Actually I did get 5.5 qts in. I remember that thread last year, and just put 5 in. Started it up, let it run for about 30 seconds. Checked it again, and it was low. Another 1/2 qt put it at the top of the marker on the dipstick. Is that how you check your oil? Thats how I was told to check it either by the manual, or my mechanic. Can't remember which.
