thanks for the advice.
BTW, i see you have a Silver H.O. how has the color been for showing scratches? what color did you have before and how do they compare scratch wise?

the upgrade to the HD springs is a really good idea. along with the springs, i made a 1 3/8" lift for the front, with both of these installed i can have 2 people sitting on the front rack with out the suspension bottoming, or even close. for your info, you might try looking for the HD spring as used parts, like from a junk yard, i was told that they are the same springs that come a sportsman6x6, stock.

does anyone recomend using the h.d springs with just a winch and double tube bumper? will be eventually buying a plow.

That is the set up that I have and it does help with bottoming out.

I guess it doesn't show scratches any differently than any other color. It is not painted like the silver grizzly. When the silver grizzly gets scratched, it shows the black plastic underneath the paint. This is the first one I have had.

mtpockets: I have the spring compressor but we use to just systematicly go around the spring with vice gips and tie the coils together with mechanics wire untill it was colapsed enough to remove.
