Need a little help guys

I was relating a bad experience I recently had dealing with a dealer on an Artic Cat with a good friend who bought a 500 Polaris a couple years ago and he said he was suspicious of maybe having the same thing happen to him. My dealer tried to pass of a 2000 Cat as a 2001. My friend thinks maybe his sold him a 1999 as a 2000.
The VIN is 4XACH50A7XA048893 and the model is A99CH50A.
Can anyone tell what year this SP is?
Thanks,
Bob

all new ATV's come with co's(certificate of origin)
i always insist that my dealer give me one on each ATV i buy.
it has the year and all the other vitals right on it. it doesn't matter if you are a title state or not- the co belongs to you!
call the dealer and demand it.

I hate to say it but your friend did buy a 99 sp500. The 99# in the model # is the model year. So your dealer pulled a fast one on your friend. The only good news about it is nothing changed between the 99 and 00 year. However I would be really P.O. and if you have the bill of sale and it says it's a 00 model, you have proof to take back to him. Then try to work something out or take him to court.

Lots and Lots of laws to protect you if he said and wrote 2000, the delivered you a 1999!
HOWEVER, there is a 'statute of limitations' that sets a time frame in which you can go after him. so don't wait, act now!
wanna see how much you're being screwed.....compare book values!
(ALSO, if you can prove that he did this on purpose, you can sue him for TRIPLE DAMAGES, and WIN!- a judgement that will refund you 3X the price you paid for the ATV)
he won't try and skrew anyone else after that!
