Well that's not too bad when it's the whole quad. Actually it's pretty economical. I still wish I had $12,500 to spend on a quad, though.

For $12,000, you could greatly mod 2 Scrambler 400's (almost).

HPD Trail or Race engine (65-100 hp) $1200-$1800
HPD Suspension $1050
new Scrambler $4200
------
Total $6450-$6850

So a greatly modded Scrambler 400 is approx. price of one new stock Craptor ($6200-$6500) and a little more than a 400EX ($5500-5700). Of course to hop those quads is a whole separate and complete topic (and cost structure).

Hell, I have a better deal than that comming out ni next weeks Cycle Trader...

$4800 for mine, HPD full race, all riding gear and extra parts. I dare someone to find a faster, cleaner bike for less!
