I just talked to the local Polaris atv dealer. Asked him about fuel injected 700 and new plastic. He laughed and said that there wouldn't be any changes to the 700 for atleast a year. I personaly think he is clueless. Sometimes its nice to talk to the dealer and tech. just to see how updated they are on thier atv's. Its amazing how little some of them even know. I have learned much more about problems and fixes from this forum then I ever would from the dealers/techs. around here. Just my 2 cents.

I will definitely have to agree with you slewpumper. I also have learned more from ATV forums like these and even the polaris web site than I could ever expect to get from my dealers. Every time I talk to my local dealer and ask him a question he has to call someone and then get back to me. I might as well just make the call myself.

Guys~

I couldn't agree more. Most dealers that I've talked to are, for the most part, clueless. Make you wonder how low of a bar they have for dealerships. But to be fair, there are dealers out there that are on top of the game and very helpful. I just wish they were the rule rather then the exception.

i couldn't agree more with you!
BUT, all the Mfg really cares about is having a dealer in the right LOCATION- a PSA-(primary shoping area) they claim customer satisfaction scoring means a lot, but the Mfg really doesn't care about CSI.
in fact, the Mfg will prefer a big city dealer with terrible CSI over the little dealer out in the country with terrific CSI ANY day of the week because they move more units for them. they do that in the auto industry also. just watch the change in location of GM dealers in less than 10 years- the little 'country guy' will be gone. "fewer but stronger dealers"
i don't agree with it but that's life.
