Polaris Transmissons

I was just wondering WHY Polaris doesn't make a quad with a Manual Tranny? I mean they have the sport ATVs' and they all have Automatic Trannys, I would never get a sport atv without a manual clutch, I have rode my Grandpa's Polaris Sportsman 500 and I don't like the automatic tranny. I love my uncle's Honda Fourtrax 300 4x4 with the auto clutch for utility work, I know some of you like the automatic, I was just wondering why Polaris doesn't make a manual quad? Thanks Matt

They do have the Xpedition which is like the Honda Fourtrax with the auto clutch. It comes in either a 325 or a 425.
I personally can't wait to see this new sport quad. I can say thou, that I am not a shifting kind of person anymore. Ecspecially with a hand clutch. I would rather stay focussed on the trail then to have to always be thinking about gears and clutch. This is just my preference. I guess my Polaris spoiled me that way. I never minded shifting before I got the Polaris but I do now.

Ditto what Elroy said. Granted, it isn't as challenging as a manual clutch and shifting, but the auto tranny will spoil you. Plus, the autos shift faster than any human could. Hills that were a problem on a manual machine are easy on an auto. Just point it up the hill and give it gas. If you want excitement, come back down the hill. With little or no compression braking it makes for a thrilling ride! (WEEEEEEEEEEE! AAAAAAAA, I CAN'T STOP!)
