I am currently having some difficulty dialing in my clutches. The bike has always been lazy. but it seems to be impossible to rectify. The bike comes out the hole and then proceeds to fall flat on its face-essentially it upshifts too quickly for the bike to carry itself. I have tried several set ups-stock trim was awfull-it would power out in the mud and in the hills. I have since gone to a white primary spring with 46.5 gram weights-stock secondary spring.Worked ok, but still had the huge flat spot. Next I went to a yellow/white secondary spring in the secondary-worse than current set up, next I went to 44 gram weights in the primary-much worse-massive over rev and subsequent flat drone. Lastly, I have gone back to stock weights in the primary- feels about the same as the 46.5's with stock secondary. Tomorrow I plan to remove the yellow/white secondary spring and go back with the stocker. If anybody has any clutch ideas for the sp500's with big rubber (27's), the help would be greatly appreciated[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img]

 

Your answer may be in clutching, but there could also be other causes for this lack of power such as: improper jetting, dirty carburetor, dirty air filter, poor quality fuel, etc. It could even be from low compression as the result of a worn engine. What elevation are you running the bike at and what main jet is installed? I have little knowledge on clutching, but if the bike has always been lazy, your problem may lie elsewhere.
