I was out doing wheelies yesterday, and noticed when I floor the throtle, It bogs down, and has like no throttle response. I was thinking maybe a torn reed? I pulled the pull start, and still have all my compression, as far as I can tell. I used to have great response. Any ideas?

Did you try cleaning your air filter?

What is the original color of the air filter supposed to be?

Run the engine without the filter once, if performance returns to normal replace the filter?

Did you play with the airscrew adjustment? If you did return the screw to it's normal position.

Could your choke be stuck?

Is your carburetor boot crack free?

Is the clamp around the carb tight?

Are the reed cage mounting bolts tight?

Could you have a plugged pilot jet?

Bogs are usually caused by a lean running condition.

Good luck

I haven't touched the airscrew on purpose, but I might have accidentaly hit it. I have a UNI filter, and It is supposed to be yellow. I'm gonna put some engine degreaser on it right now. And see if that helps.

I think I'm going to buy a Filtercharger and waterrepelland outerware. I always have to take the airbox out, and It looks to cluttered under the seat. I don't ride in mud that often, but when I do, I'll just put the airbox back on. Do you think this is a good Idea? I'm fixing to put on a new post about it.
