I was thinking of running NOS but don't want to mess up my engine so im looking for a little advice from someone who has run NOS. I've ran NOS on my car (150HP) and that was no big deal but these little engines make me nervous. Also, anyone have detailed pictures of a nitrous kit on a Sport or Scrambler 400. What's the smallest jet available for a nitrous system? Did you play with the timing? Im hoping there's a 10HP jet out there...you know, start small and then graduate to bigger and better things. What kind of nitrous kit are your running and what did you pay for it? I figured I'd get rid of the oil injection and put a fuel tank up front with some 113 octane ERC in it just to be used for the nitrous. Well, any help you can provide will be much appreciated. Saves me from walkin in the dark.

Personally, a full race HPD setup will get you more snort, more reliability, and less headache.

I wouldn't mind a full race HPD set up but my pocket book would. Im just looking for a little kick in the you know what for not a lotta $$$. Just something to add a little more power but nothing like the 70+hp you'll get from an HPD race engine.

This has been brought up several times in the Bombardier forum. Well worth the time to dig up some of those posts.

I also want to run NOS on my Sport and am planning a 20hp shot. Go to the Bad Boys forum (http://pub8.bravenet.com/forum/show....rnum=612682403) and look at my post (Nitrous Oxide: by Duane Schmader). There is some info there but not a whole lot. All I needed to know was the amount of NOS I could use without major problems. On the snowmobile we had it on, the engine was stock and we put 60 horse through it with no reliability problems for the 2 years we ran it. I will be using the current oil tank as my fuel tank also. I won't be doing mine right away so it will be a while before I can tell you how it goes. Good luck with yours and let me know how it goes.
