I'm not sure how it works buying quads in Canada but last week I heard the exchange rate was something like 49% so I'm sure you can get good deals.
I have heard good things about Dave's Sport in Woodstook New Brunswick his number is (506) 328 9306.
He should be able to give you all the info you need as far as exchange, duty, and tax go. I also heard that once you get to the boarder you get your tax refunded.
Woodstock is only like 3 to 4 hours north of you.

I live in Canada and when I bought my brand new 2001 scrambler 500 4x4 last year it cost me around $8500 I think. Depends were you buy it in Canada, I have to pay GST of 7% so that didn't help. I live in alberta. My guess is you would get a good deal if you bought in Canada because are dollar is crap compared to yours. It's a joke for me to go quading or on any holiday in the states because it's almost twice as much.
