You'll love the 400, trust me.
Sometimes hard to start this time of year though. Up the pilot jet one size for easier starting in the cold. Other than that EX's are great & contrary to what 90% of Raptors owners say, they are NOT slow.
Have fun.

I also switched to a 400 EX. I never had one problem with my 99 Sport.
I really liked the Sport, but got tired of its weight. I also wanted to get back to something with a clutch. The only thing the Sport had over the EX was its out of the hole quickness. Other than that, the EX is amazing. I don't miss reverse, and the handling is second to none.
Enjoy your new quad.

Sorry to hear you had so many problems with your Scrambler. As for me, I spent the last weekend having a Honda 400 chasing me. The Mounds up here in Michigan were snowed and iced over, so it was up to a Scrambler to open up the park for everyone. I listened as the honda guy went over all the mods he's done and wants to do, and I just looked at mine knowing it's just want I want. I suppose everyone has their preferences, but for me, it's the best machine out there.
