I'm looking for a speedometer/odometer for my scrambler besides the one that polaris offers. That price for a little guage is about enough to make you grab your groin and cringe. Just wondering if anyone knows a good aftermarket company that makes a compatible setup for a '00 scrambler. Thanks.

It has been brought up lots of times but bang for the buck you can't beat a $20 bike speedo/odom.Cheap and easy to mount with lots of functions.

I have one new in the box, especially made for the scrambler 400. I would be willing to sell it if the money is right. It includes the plastic cowling, headlight frame, and all necessary hardware to mount it. Like I said, it is specifically made for Polaris. Let me know. Functions are speed, odo, trip odo, and hours.

Pudljumper I think you should get one of the trail tech unit's they are based off a topeak Bike speedometer and look to be very well constructed. Take a look at the pic's that I sent you.

Have you thought about a handheld GPS ? I made a small mounting bracket on the left handlebar and put my Garmin GPS 76 on it. The GPS has a lot more uses if you play outdoors, so you'll get more use out of it than the speedo.
