I am looking for a little bit more information on the braking performance of the Scrambler 500 4x4. I am not worried about the stoping power for me, but more so for my wife. I understand that the Scrambler does not have the engin braking system. Is this somthing that can be added on? If so, can someone explain how it works to me.

We live in Nevada and do a lot of desert riding, and I am just concerened with long steep grades. I do not want the machine to get away from the wife because it starts to build up too much speed.

One other thing, does anyone really miss having the low range opption on the Scrambler?

Thanks for the feed back!

Check with your dealer.. you can put EBS on your scrambler probably for between $200-$300. a good investment if your worried about the wife

I don't miss not having a low gear. I like to just put it in forward gear and go where ever I want and not worry about if it should be in low or high. I can ride slow technical terrain with no problem over rocks and logs. I have pulled out other stuck 4x4s and the pulling power was far more than I expected. With the same gear you can also ride fast, jump, and pull wheelies. No stopping to shift.
